The following is the BSA Weekly Caregiver Newsletter for week of 10/5-10/9:

Announcement #1:

Dear caregivers and BSA community,

We know that having your teenager in the home all day can be challenging, and we wanted to offer some tips to support remote learning.  It is fair to say that they are part of the first group of students in the country responsible for learning remotely at the start of the school year. It is important to remember that this generation of young people were born with access to technology and a comfort level with the digital world that many adults do not possess. However, this does not change the fact that young people must have good study habits and a routine.  Experts suggest the following:

  • Set up a space in your home that your child can consistently use for their schoolwork
  • Encourage your child to commit to a regular school schedule and do classwork during the school day.

Your child has class time appointments with their teachers all week. BSA teachers are supporting students in live zoom settings daily- please make sure they attend.

If your child requires more support, feel free to reach out to the subject teacher and a private appointment will be arranged. Additionally if your child needs a laptop please do not hesitate to contact the school and one will be provided.

We realize that these are unprecedented times and want to partner with you to support your child in their education.

Respectfully yours,

Ms. Silberman
