Kelsey Louie, MSW, MBA
Chief Executive Officer
A native New Yorker and the proud son of immigrant parents, Kelsey Louie is a public health leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting underserved youth, families, LGBTQ+ communities, and communities of color. Prior to his tenure at The Door and Broome Street Academy (BSA), Kelsey served as chief executive of Gay’s Men Health Crisis (GMHC), the world’s first AIDS service organization, and chief operating officer and program officer at Harlem United. Kelsey was appointed to the New York Governor’s Taskforce to End the AIDS Epidemic in 2014.
Kelsey’s rigorous, data-driven management style, sophisticated outcomes evaluation processes, and commitment to staff development have brought concrete, measurable results to the lives of clients and staff throughout his career in social services.
Kelsey received an MSW from NYU and an MBA from Columbia University. He is an adjunct professor at the NYU Silver School of Social Work. He is also a Board member of iHealth-a consortium of Health Home providers, the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), and the Network of Social Work Management, and Cause Effective; a Strategic Advisor to the HIV Center for Clinical and Behavioral Studies at NYS Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University; and an Advisory Board Member of the NYU College of Global Public Health.
