Michael Davis

Michael (Mike) Davis joined the Broome Street Academy team in the summer of 2023 and is the Director of Student Life at BSA. His personal mission is to shape and guide the hearts and minds of young scholars towards prosperous futures. He is passionate about scholars not just graduating high school, but pursuing a post-secondary education and becoming an asset to their communities, specifically those who have been historically under-served, underprivileged, and under-appreciated.  A Brooklyn College and City College graduate, Mike has spent over a decade supporting scholars in public schools, community based organizations, and the nonprofit sector, pushing scholars towards self-actualization and preparing them to flourish in their adult lives.

In his current role, Mike leads the Student Life Team in developing and maintaining a supportive, productive, and professional environment focused on academic success, school activities and culture, and the overall wellness of all students. He helps to create a calm and supportive tone in the school by ensuring consistency in daily operations, including when students transition in hallways, as well as by utilizing behavior management, shared school codes of conduct, and restorative practices. Mike also prioritizes building strong relationships with parents, instructional leadership, guidance counselors, social workers, teachers, and The Door staff.
